Beverley Town Football Club manager Ross Cording says nothing but a win will do in tonight’s Humber Premier League match with Hessle Rangers.
With no fixture at the weekend Cording adds his side have had a good few days off and are ready to go. Speaking ahead of this evening’s fixture Cording said;
“We`ve all had a good few days away/off and ready to go at Hessle for all three points tonight.”
Town will be boosted by the arrival of ex Bridlington Town player Shaun Day who the manager feels will add a little more experience to the side.
If Beverley win their game by three clear goals the will end the night at the top of the Humber Premier League, a position that last occupied when they were crowned champions.
Last time out Town were pegged back at home against East Riding Rangers. Cording however said the draw was a not an issue for him and fitted in with the points he is targeting, he said;
“I felt Rangers would come at us in second half but they never really troubled our goal and with the chance we had to get it at the end maybe deserved all three points.”
“I looked at our next 5 games before the match with East Riding Rangers and I wanted at least 11 from the possible 15. I marked Rangers and Pocklington Town as draws so I am quite happy.”
While his side lost out on the two points last week after leading for so long in the match Cording’s side continue to challenge at the right end of the table.
A good performance this evening at Longcroft School would set them up nicely for Saturday’s clash with rivals South Cave, a match they could conceivably be going into as league leaders.
