Lempicka Cafe in Wednesday Market will mark their first year of trading in Beverley with a special event this coming Monday.
Nancy Blackbourn the Owner of the business will host a special Afternoon Tea event with a French twist with tea and cake board tasters will from 12 to 4PM.
Speaking about their plans to mark the day Nancy said;
“The offerings for celebrating our first year come as a result of taking the best of what we have built upon over the year.”
“Our idea for afternoon tea actually came from my mother-in-law who mentioned that there really aren’t many places that do a really nice, luxurious afternoon tea. With my affinity to French cuisine and patisserie, we decided to include in our tea many treats Francaises.”
“We also have been offering Evening Tea Parties to catered events which has proven to be a delightful alternative to buffets or tapas meals.”
“The Cake Board has come about due to many customers having difficulty in choosing just one slice of our delicious home-baked cakes. Thus we have put together mini slices of 5 to 6 different cakes on a nicely presented board.”
“The Afternoon Tea and Cake Board is of course perfectly accompanied by our second-to-none espresso based coffees and gourmet loose leaf teas.”
Speaking about her first year in business Nancy said;
“The first year has been a wonderful roller coaster of learning, hard work and substantially surpassing my revenue targets.”
“I now have the perfect dedicated kitchen and front of house team that have cemented a very loyal customer following and fantastic reviews. My dream of a cosy, friendly continental style cafe and bistro is now achieved.”
Nancy says that the scheme run by Beverley Town Council to promote Wednesday Market has played a pivotal role in bringing more footfall to the location which has helped her business, she said;
“Wednesday Market Monthly farmer’s market has helped considerably in bringing people to this end of town. The fresh and high quality products attract so many customers to the area and on a lovely, summer’s day.”
“We pick up trade from this as there is nothing better than to enjoy an espresso or iced latte alfresco in our outside seating patio and watch the world go by.”
Additionally there will be special anniversary reduced rates on the afternoon tea , to book ahead call 01482 866 960 and the cake board for the month of September.
