Beverley Bloom handed out a number of awards in acknowledgement for the efforts made by people in the town to make Beverley nicer place.
Certificates were presented to winners in a range of sections that included, Community, Hospitality, Children’s, Retail and Residential.
Winners on the night included Beverley Minster, Millers Day Centre, The Queens Head, Green Dragon, Beverley Racecourse, Beverley Carpets, Bridal Reloved and Beverley Carpets.
Mayor of Beverley Peter Astell presented the winners with their certificates at on the night which was held at St Mary’s Parish Hall.
Cllr Astell made special mention to the young people in the community saying that it was important to encourage the next generation of gardeners to carry on supporting Beverley in Bloom.
Other awards were also presented by David Ryley the Community Champion for Tesco Beverley.
