An 86 year-old man died following a road traffic collision yesterday on the A1079 (Beverley By-Pass) between Jocks Lodge and the Dog Kennel Lane roundabout at 1155am.
The man was driving a red Toyota Yaris, travelling in the direction of Jocks Lodge from the Dog Kennel Lane roundabout at the time of the collision. It is believed that he may have had a medical episode at the wheel and collided with an articulated lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
Police are asking for anyone who saw this red Toyota Yaris at around 1155am yesterday (Wednesday 23 September) to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 referring to log 171 of 23 September 2015.
