Young people who are thinking of coming to college this year can take part in free practical tasters next week at East Riding College.
The sessions will take place at the Bridlington campus in St Mary’s Walk on Tuesday October 13 and at the Beverley campus, in Armstrong Way, on Wednesday October 14, both from 3.30pm to 5pm.
Assistant director Alison Gray said: “These sessions are an opportunity for people who haven’t yet enrolled on a course or who are thinking of changing course to have a go at the subject of their choice.
“They will also enable people to find out more about East Riding College, look at our excellent facilities and meet our friendly and knowledgeable tutors.”
The sessions are available in art and design; business, administration and accounts; construction; digital media and games design; early years and care; engineering and motor vehicle; foundation – skills for life; hair and beauty; hospitality and catering; information technology; music; performing arts; sport; travel and tourism; and uniformed public services.
There is no need to book ahead and there will also be opportunities to speak to advice and guidance officers for details of other courses, finance and transport to college.
