Debenhams in Beverley has launched the search to find a local hero as part of a competition which will see the winner officially open the new department store.
Opening on Tuesday 27 October at 10am, the winner will be given a special makeover before taking centre stage to cut the ribbon, declaring the store open.
Whether it’s someone who goes that extra mile in the area or a member of the local community known and loved by many, the winner is guaranteed to have an unforgettable morning to celebrate the latest opening at the new Flemingate development.
Store manager, Emma Doherty, will be judging the competition and is urging people from the local community to nominate worthy winners by sending 150 words on why they should win. All nominations should be emailed to debenhamshero@havasww.com before Friday 16 October.
Departments at the brand new store will include a sparkling cosmetics and fragrance hall, womenswear, menswear, lingerie, accessories and childrenswear.
The premium cosmetics and fragrance hall will boast a wide selection of internationally renowned beauty brands along with specially trained beauty consultants who will be on-hand to give expert advice.
Both men and women will be able to enjoy designer fashion at high street prices with the Designers at Debenhams range including collections from Ben de Lisi, John Rocha and Jasper Conran.
