Reckitts are top of the Hull & District Veterans Football League after they beat Leven Members Club 6-1 on Sunday.
Current Champions Reckitts showed their class as they stormed into a 4-0 half time lead. Leven did provide some response in the second half scoring themselves and also missing a penalty.
However Reckitts capped off a comfortable day by scoring two further goals in the game.
Leven’s Man of the Match Chris Munns said;
“They are an excellent team. We all knew it was not going to be an easy game. As a side they were inter changing and their passing was crisp.”
Leven’s goal came after Munns made a darting run down the wing and cutting the ball back for Darren Webb to score.
Munns said;
“As the game went on my fitness worked to my advantage and we started to create chances down their left flank. Had they gone in you could have been looking at a very different score line.”
