College Hosts New Advice Clinic For Beverley Businesses

A new service offering free and confidential advice to fledgling businesses is being hosted by East Riding College on Tuesday, November 10, from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Beverley Business Clinic will involve a panel of experienced professionals offering help to start-ups or businesses with issues they are struggling to resolve.

It will take place every month and involve panel members covering accountancy, law, marketing and PR, and human resources, among others.

Alan Hemingway, a panel member and director of Beverley management accountants Hemingway Bailey, said:
“The idea of Beverley Business Clinic is to support new businesses or people who are considering starting up in business with expertise across some key areas.

“It can be difficult to know who to turn to when you’re new to the business world and we are looking forward to providing some worthwhile advice to local entrepreneurs.”

The clinic will take place in the conference and events suite within the College’s new Beverley campus in Armstrong Way. It will be followed by a second clinic on Tuesday, December 8, also at the College.

Richard Sellick, assistant director at East Riding College, said: “The College is very pleased to be hosting the business clinics. People who are just starting out are being offered indispensable advice from people who are very experienced in their respective fields.”
