Humberside Police were called just before 2pm today 18 November to a report of an assault on Walkergate in Beverley.
The report was that a man had been assaulted by a group of youths.
The man has been taken to hospital to be treated for head injuries.
Anyone with information or who witnessed this incident should contact the police on 101 quoting log 277 of today.
