Pupils from the Year’s 5 and 6 St Nicholas Primary School took part in a WW2 Experience Day.
With the help of volunteers from Hull Peoples Memorial pupils benefited from learning about how the Second World War impacted our local area.
Pupils and staff were dressed as people may have been in WW2. They will also experienced a Blitz Drill, Wartime Coding, Mend and Make Do sewing/crafts, Music Hall Sing Song, Evacuation and finally a VE Celebration.
The day was designed to help the pupils engage with this important part of our history by bringing events out of the records and into a fashion they can fully interact with.
