Beverley Rugby Club will be heading north again this weekend as they complete their final fixture before the Christmas break.
The Beavers face Guisborough and will be hoping for the same level of quality on the pitch as they showed against Percy Park however will be hoping to win the game.
Spokesperson for the club said;
“At the moment we are hopeful that we should be able to field a similar side to last weeks team and put on a similar display and play some quality rugby.”
“Although we were beaten by Percy Park, that score was not a true reflection of the game itself.”
“In terms of possession Beverley had equal amounts of the ball and we also played some fine running rugby.”
“Sadly for us the conditions were not conducive to our style of rugby and more suitable to sides that prefer to play a kicking game, something Percy Park executed very well in the match.”
“Saying that we can take a great deal of encouragement from the effort the lads showed with experience learn how to adapt our game based on the overall conditions.”
Beverley have had very little to shout about this season as the first team continues to go through a transition period that is seeing more of the old guard returned to the club.
Any sort of result on the road will be welcomed by the supporters who have despite the poor results on the pitch remain very supportive of the club.
Beverley are currently bottom of the league table with 11 points from their opening fixtures and any sort a result on Saturday should lift them off the bottom.
Their opponents Guisborough have fared slightly better than Beverley the five places ahead of of the beavers in the league.
