Alzheimer’s Society charity has been voted Beverley Building Society’s Charity of the Month for November by its members. The Society’s donation of £250 will help to support the charity’s efforts to help those who have been affected my dementia.
Dementia can happen to anyone and there’s currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021. At Alzheimer’s Society, they believe passionately that life doesn’t end when dementia begins. The Charity is there for anyone affected by dementia, and they do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.

“Thank you to the members of Beverley Building Society who voted Alzheimer’s Society Charity of the Month for November. For those affected by dementia today we offer face to face and group support, we also have a national helpline and an online forum which can be accessed at any point day or night for instant peer support. Looking to the future we are dedicated to defeating dementia through research and we are the only UK based charity which funds research into the cure, care, cause and prevention of dementia.”

“We wish Alzheimer’s Society all the best with their future plans to defeating dementia. We’re glad that the Society’s donation can help support the continuation of the charities support groups and helplines, as well as continue research into dementia.”
