Harry Potter Night Returns Beverley Library

Calling all Hogwarts hopefuls – Harry Potter Book Night is returning to East Riding Libraries, including Beverley for a second year.

Fans of the Harry Potter books should dust off their wands or take a trip down Diagon Alley to get a new one.

Following the success of last year’s event anyone wishing to attend should make their booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

In a statement released, East Riding of Yorkshire Council said;

“East Riding Libraries, in conjunction with Bloomsbury Children’s Books, are delighted to announce that Harry Potter Book Night returns on Thursday 4 February, 2016, at 6PM.”

“For the first Harry Potter Book Night in February 2015, 10,500 parties and celebrations were held all over the world, and East Riding Libraries were delighted to host eight exciting themed events attended by 120 children.”

Councillor Richard Burton, portfolio holder for civic wellbeing and culture, said:

“Delving into the mysterious world of Harry Potter with activities, readings and games, children are sure to have a fantastic time immersed in this magical story.”

“We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting Harry Potter Night at 13 East Riding Libraries in 2016.”

Booking opens in Beverley Library from Saturday 9 January.
