A line dancing group who hold classes at Armstrongs Social Club in Beverley have raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

Hilary Usher and Denise Wingfield of the Westwood Wanderers Line Dancers organise line dance classes and raise money through events and social dances.

This year their chosen charity was for the local MS branch.

Hilary said;

“We are pleased to announce the total of £900 was raised this year. Each year we try to pick a charity that does work in the local area.”

“To raise money we hold raffles and social events with proceeds going towards our chosen charity.”

A cheque was presented at Armstrongs Social Club to Margaret Thompson from the charity who expressed their gratitude at the efforts and amount raised by the Westwood Wanderers Line Dancers.

Anyone who may be interested in taking up Line Dancing can do so at any of the classes that are held in Beverley, Driffield, Hornsea and Leven.
