Beverley RUFC host Morpeth this Saturday at Beaver Park (Kick-off 2.15 p.m.) for the first game that they will have played since before Christmas last year.
Although training has carried on during the enforced layoff, the Beavers are bound to be a little ring rusty and they are eagerly looking forward to returning to some meaningful action.
Morpeth are currently lying in mid table in the league and will provide stiff opposition to Beverley, having beaten them by 44 points to 10 up there last October but that scoreline did not reflect the actual performance from a Beverley side largely made up of players playing together for the first time.
Things have improved since then and head coach Simon Cowling is confident that, providing they shake off the cobwebs quickly and hit the ground running the Beavers can cause an upset.
