Owners of Husky’s in Yorkshire are heading over the water this Sunday as they walk across the Humber Bridge and back.
The group which was formed in 2013 and is made up of 1,700 members meet on a regular basis to walk their dogs.
David Elvidge who is member of the group said and owns two Husky’s said;
“Following the success of our last walk in the region, Yorkshire Husky Meets East Yorkshire, are again walking across the Humber Bridge.”
“On Sunday 24th January we will be crossing into Lincolnshire with a planned stopover in Barton Upon Humber before we return to Hessle for lunch at the Country Park Inn.”
“Those wishing to attend should meet at the Tourist Information Office in the Humber Bridge Car Park with the walk stepping off at 10:15 am.”
“When we hosted our first ever Husky meet with 6 friends and 10 dogs, we now have over 1700 members from all across Yorkshire and surrounding areas, we are the largest dog walking group in the UK.”
“The group is for all our members and we encourage peoples suggestions and participation.”
“Recently we had 153 dogs on one of our walks on Filey beach and what an amazing sight it was to see them all playing and happy.”
“Anyone who owns a Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute or other any other Sled or Snow dog breeds is welcome to join.”
“All other dog breeds are also welcome as long as they are kept on a lead during the meet.”
