“We’ll have a selection of World War II vehicles on display as well as our very own ‘Dad’s Army’ patrolling our patriotically decorated mall.”

“Come along and see a fully equipped British Willis jeep as well as a German BMW motorbike and sidecar complete with weapon mount.”

“You’ll also be able to recharge your batteries at Deli No. 1 by sampling that ration book staple, corned beef – but with a twist, so be sure to give it try!”

This weekend Parkway Cinema, arguably the biggest success of the new complex, will like picture houses through the country will be screening the eagerly awaited Dad’s Army – The Movie.

Based on the ever popular TV series the film features scenes which were filmed right here in Beverley as well as other locations in the region.

While Flemingate may not have quite tickled the imagination of people locally due to the lack of stores open.

Things are slowly starting to change with traders on the site saying they are confident it will come
good in the not too distant future.

Parking all weekend for free also gives potential visitors the opportunity to get away from Flemingate and explore the rest of Beverley taking in the sights and the ever popular Market.

  1. Another penalty on the loyal shopkeepers on: North Bar Within, Market Place, Toll Gavel etc. Any chance that ERYC will match the offer and throw the whole town open?
    I thought not.

  2. Is this an indication that the new development is not doing as well as some might hope it would ? have been myself and pretty non plussed ,I am afraid to say.
