Beverley Town Football Club remain seventh in the Humber Premier League after they were beaten 2-1 by Sculcoates Amateurs at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Despite the difficult conditions, Town played some good football but could not convert their possession into chances in the final third.
Sculcoates found themselves 2-0 up at half time after taking advantage of two mistakes. The second half followed the same pattern and the visitors went three up through a penalty before substitute Craig Muirhead scored a free kick for the home side.
This Saturday Beverley Town travel to Pocklington for in the Humber Premier League.
