Tradesman and DIY enthusiasts in Beverley will be delighted to hear that Screwfix are to open an outlet on the Swinemoor Industrial Estate.
Since a taken over by a Hull firm, Allenby Commercial the industrial estate is under going a re-branding as looks to become known as The Trade Yard.
Georgia Allenby, from Venture Business Parks, commenting on the deal said:
“Screwfix expect to be open for business at The Trade Yard in May and as a household name business their presence will underline the potential of the site to other prospective trade counter tenants.”
A busy area of the town Venture Business Parks has embarked on a major redevelopment programme since acquiring the site that is close to the southern relief road.
Based on their online sales and the number of counters they operate Screwfix are the largest supplier in the country of a range of goods in the UK used in the construction industry.
Screwfix will take the first of two new units taking a total of 5,000 sq ft and their confirmation of taking on a unit has being welcomed as it will lead to new jobs being created in Beverley.

“This is a big and busy site with great potential which is now being unlocked as a result of the investment by Venture Business Parks.”

Beverley already has a number of suppliers to the trade and public though the arrival of Screwfix is sure to be welcomed by both the trade and the public.
