Fresh from their incredibly successful production of ‘Allo, ‘Allo in November, Beverley Theatre Company present the stage version of another classic BBC sitcom – Up Pompeii.
The hilarious comedy which starred the late and much loved Frankie Howerd as the hapless slave Lurcio, forever under the thumb of his Master, the Roman Senator Ludicrus Sextus, and the Senator’s wife, Ammonia.
The cast includes some familiar faces from ‘Allo, ‘Allo – Steve Haller, Neville Slater, Colin Walls, Hannah Robertson and Tony Musgrave play the roles of Ludicrus, Corneous, Nausius, Suspenda and Lurcio respectively.
Whilst welcome returns are made by Pam Day, Kate Henderson, Zoe Conley and Chris Dunnachie as Ammonia, Senna, Erotica and Kretinus.
Beverley Theatre Company are also happy to introduce two new members making their debuts, Paul Garrod as Captain Treacherus, and Francesca Venier as Voluptua. Ironically, Francesca is actually Italian and finds herself making her debut as a slave in ancient Pompeii!
