Usher Using New Machinery For 2016 Campaign

Beverley racer Dominic Usher (25) is sporting a brand-new BMW which he will use to campaign the 2016 National Superstock 1000 championship. This will be his fifth year in the series and his second with BMW machinery, and he is anticipating a strong performance, aiming his sights at a top five position at the end of the season.

He commented: “I have to thank a fellow racer in the paddock for introducing me to my new sponsor, Mick Morris of Formwise Washrooms, who has very kindly agreed to support me for the 2016 season. With this and the continued support from Clive Padgett of Padgetts Motorcycles plus my other loyal sponsors I am looking forward to securing some strong results. I am aiming for consistent top-five finishes and a top five end to the season and would like to repay all my supporters with some podium finishes during the campaign.

“We had some difficult times during 2015 that proved problematic as the season unfolded and we struggled with set up of the bike but by the end of the year we had solved the problems and I was recording some good, top 10 results and maintaining a front running pace. I want to put all the negativity from 2015 behind me and hit the ground running from the off. With this in mind I am focussing on my fitness and am training hard so that I am fully prepared for the task ahead.”

Dominic will take in a few track days to get to grips with his new steed before taking part in the Silverstone test day with BSB ahead of the first round which takes place at the Northamptonshire circuit over the weekend of April 8-10.
