Rangers Come From Behind To Beat Beverley Town In HPL

Beverley Town Football club were beaten for the second consecutive week in the Humber Premier League as they were beaten by East Riding Rangers.

Despite taking an early lead thanks to a goal from Matthew Littlefield, the home side, East Riding Rangers responded with three goals their own to clinch the points.

Dean Larvin bagged a brace and Nathan Ejerovbo found the back of the net is East Riding Rangers came from behind to win.

Town started well in the match with Craig Muirhead firing wide early on. Just 10 minutes into the game Littlefield opened the scoring by guiding a cross home from skipper Johnny Ricardo.

East Riding Rangers were back on level terms midway through the first half as the sides went in all square at half time.

In entertaining second half, both sides played good football but despite Towns possession they could not convert that into goals.

Ranger took the initiative in the match and got their noses in front before scoring again in the final 10 minutes of the game to secure the points.

Beverley Town return to action this weekend when they welcome the current Humber Premier League leaders, Wawne United to the Norwood Recreation Ground.

United are currently six points clear at the top of the table. When the sides met on the opening day the season it was United that came out top beating Beverley town 6-1.
