Beverley’s household waste recycling site at Weel will be closed for two days to allow maintenance work to be carried out.
The site, in Weel Road, will be closed on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 March 2016. It will reopen at noon on Thursday 24 March.
The closure will allow necessary resurfacing works to be carried out on the site.
During that time, residents are being asked to use the nearest household waste and recycling sites at Driffield, Hornsea or Humberfield, near Hessle, instead.
The work is being completed by FCC Environment, which manages the council’s 10 household waste recycling sites in the East Riding.
Mike Featherby, the council’s head of streetscene services, said: “The closure of the site is necessary to allow us to carry out this maintenance work and we would ask residents to bear with us for this short period while this work is completed.”
The nearest waste and recycling sites are at:
•Humberfield Quarry, Ferriby Road, Hessle (near HU13 0JD)
•Church Lane, Little Driffield (YO25 9DJ)
•Atwick Road, Hornsea (HU18 1EJ)
All household waste recycling sites in the East Riding are open seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm.
