Blue & Golds Likely To Experiement With Selection Against Stanningley

The blue and golds are on the road in their next 40/20 fixture this Saturday. They travel to Leeds to face Stanningley ‘A’ and have agreed with their opponents request for an earlier 12.30pm kick off.

This will facilitate the game being played as a ‘curtain raiser’ to the Stanningley v Leigh East National Conference Division Two fixture.

Pat Howdle is likely to continue with experimentation with team selections in this pre-season cup competition. However, he will have to make do without the services of Ryan Watkin, Lee Stevens, Tom Radley and Chris Johnson due to work commitments.

In addition, Joe Morley is unlikely to recover from last week’s injury. More positively, Jake Hart-Fisher, Jack Howdle and Dominic Scholes are available again to be added to the squad. Howdle and Taylor will be looking for a little more ruthlessness with Saturday.

Beverley took their foot off the gas pedal last week against Bentley when leading 40-8 after 65 minutes but ended up winning just 40-30.
