BEVERLEY: Appeal For Independent Witnesses

Officers are investigating reports a charity worker selling anti bullying wristbands was assaulted in a Beverley street.

The incident is said to have happened at 12.30pm on Thursday, April 7, in Toll Gavel, when there was a verbal altercation between the charity worker and a woman he approached asking if she wished to buy a wristband.

A second man, known to the woman, was also said to have become involved in the incident, assaulting the charity worker.

The woman is described as aged around 22, 5ft 4in tall, of medium build, with long dark straight hair.

The man was white, around 30 to 35 years old, 6ft tall and of medium build, with scruffy ginger hair.

Officers are now appealing for independent witnesses to the altercation.
