Big Brew Event Helps Raise Hundreds Of Pounds For Charity

Following SSAFA’s most successful Big Brew at the Defence School of Transport, Lt Col Sundey Sunderland presented SSAFA representatives with a cheque for £722.65.

David Elvidge, Vice Chairman SSAFA East Yorkshire Branch said:

“The East Yorkshire SSAFA Team would like to thank everyone that supported our Big Brew at DST Leconfield, including Sodexo who provide all the refreshments.”

“It was to date our biggest and by far best attended Big Brew event. The day was a great testament to the DST community spirit, long may we continue to support each other.”

Sandra Staples, SSAFA East Yorkshire Branch Secretary said:

“The Big Brew event is as much about raising awareness of our charity and how it can help in supporting local members of the Forces and their families.”

“The money raised is an excellent boost to our funds, and I am more than happy to consider requests for grants to help the Community at Normandy Barracks.”
