Beverley Blues Festival returns this October with new acts and venues for what promises to be a excellent weekend of Blues Music.
Taking place from 21 to 23 October, the Beverley Blues Weekender 2016 will see acts perform at the Sun Inn and also for the first time perform at Parkway Cinema.
Commenting on the event Steve Swales, from the Beverley Blues Festival said;
“This, the sixth ‘Blues Weekender’ takes place and after last year’s successful event it returns again and features some fantastic national and local blues bands and artists.”
“Headlining this year on the Saturday night, at the all new Parkway Cinema in their Theatre situated in Flemingate, are Tom Attah & The Bad Man Clan.”
“Tom and his band return by popular request after kicking up a storm appearing at the annual event two years ago.”
“Music fans should expect a night of hard felt blues performed with the energy and style only The Bad Man Clan can provide.”
“Supporting them are Soft Shoe Sam, a renowned bottle neck/slide guitar player and vocalist and the local favourites, six piece band The Juke Joint Kings, performing some classic Chicago style blues.”
Each year Beverley Blues raises money for the music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins and features a dedicated stage at The Sun Inn, Flemingate.
Mr. Swales added;
“At the Sun Inn you will find a free event featuring national and local bands and artists on the Friday night and all day/evenings on the Saturday and Sunday.”
“Performers over the weekend include Crosscut Saw, Chris Martin, Chord on Blues, Dogfinger Steve, Rivers Johannson, Steve Fulsham, Julian Socha, Freddy James, Chicago Bound, Chequered Past, John Lawson, Brian Williams and more.”
“This is a Weekender not to be missed.”
