Allen Slinger the new landlord at the Tiger Inn will be hosting his first big event since taking over the Beverley Pub in August.
On Saturday 1 October a big quiz night will be held to raise money for four good local causes.
Mr. Slinger said;
“Saturday should a be a great night out for everyone and by taking part people will also be helping to raise money for four very good local causes.”
“On the night we have some players from Hull City Ladies coming to The Tiger Inn to help run the event and we will also be including free food for those taking part.”
“Everyone is welcome to come along, to enter costs just one pound.”
Groups set to benefit from the quiz include Guide Dogs For The Blind and Dove House Hospice.
Mr. Slinger hopes this will be the first of many events he will stage at the Tiger Inn.
Having successfully transformed The Royal Standard in the Georgian Quarter of Beverley Mr. Slinger says he is ready for his next challenge.
Speaking about his move he said;
“Things have been really good at the Royal Standard and we are starting to see more and more new faces come in since the refurbishment.”
“The Tiger Inn presents me with a new challenge and given it has a large garden and kitchen and more space the scope to host more events is very appealing.”
“I have also held talks with the local darts league and we will be reintroducing a darts team to the pub.”
“This is my first big event since taking on the Tiger Inn and I hope the community will come out and support not only the pub but also the good causes.”
Teams wishing to enter the quiz need can do so on the night. The quiz is set to start at 8PM and will continue through the evening.
