New mayor to be decided in December, well if Beverley Musical Theatre’s production of their 27th pantomime Dick Whittington has anything to do with it.
The local society has started rehearsals for their 27th pantomime which runs from November 30th to December 4th at their usual venue Beverley Memorial Hall and at just £7.50 for adults and £5 for children it is the best value entertainment around.
The panto promises to be full of traditional fun and laughter, with lots of new songs, comedy and surprises along the way.
BMT pride themselves on having a super family atmosphere, encouraging children to dress up and come on stage to be part of the excitement, whilst our famous Dame, Ian Thompson, who produces the show and makes all his own costumes gets the adults involved too.
The local community are always involved in the production and this year St Nicholas Primary School in Beverley are coming along to a preview session, whilst local children have been asked to select their favourite songs and some of these will be in the pantomime.
Everyone is invited to come along to Beverley Memorial Hall on Saturday 26th November from 12 noon to see the panto magic taking shape, as scenery is painted, lights are put up and stage is set.
The cast will be around to chat to and give away a few secrets about flying, floating and mysterious goings on. They can also pick up a bargain at BMT’s famous annual jumble sale at the same time.
