Locrian Ensemble are making a welcome return to Toll Gavel United Church, Beverley, on Thursday, 1 December, 2016 at 7.30pm.
Locrian Ensemble are some of London’s most respected and in- demand classical musicians, who feature in films such as the Gladiator and Harry Potter, and in studios from Abbey Road to the biggest musical hits in the West End.
Nothing gives them more pleasure than performing their theatre shows, attired in sumptuous period costume and lit in a stunning candlelit setting.
These charismatic performers perform favourites including carols, string medleys of familiar Christmas tunes, and seasonal surprises. They are joined by the evergreen Jill Washington, West End star soprano of “Phantom of the Opera”, who sings tunes from Handel’s “Messiah” to “White Christmas”, the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ and “Walking in the Air”, accompanied by shimmering strings and thrilling harp playing.
