The East Yorkshire Judo Academy took four players to this year’s British Championships in Sheffield.
First to compete was Logan Campbell who performed superbly in winning three contests in his first venture into the Cadet category before finally bowing out.
The Pre-Cadet section saw both Mason Campbell and Tommy Jackson in action. Mason was fighting well and was gaining the upper hand in his opening contest before an awkward fall saw him withdraw through an injury.
Tommy got a win under his belt holding down his opponent following clever footwork before unfortunately losing out in the next round.
Finally Longcroft Sixth Former,Holly Bentham, took to the floor following up on her impressive form this year which has seen her claim numerous titles.
Holly fought past numerous opponents to claim the national silver medal, only succumbing to Judo Scotland’s Tomi Imre in the final.
