Beverley Town Football Club return to Humber Premier League action after the winter break with home game against Chalk Lane.

Chalk Lane who are placed third in the Humber Premier League will provide a big test for Rich Jagger’s side who have enjoyed mixed results in recent times.

Jagger will has almost a full complement of players to chose from with just ‘The Destroyer’ Ryan Saltmer missing due to being away on his winter break.

Speaking ahead of the match Jagger said;

 “Chalk Lane will be a tough game. They are a very a good side who are extremely fit and play good football.”

“However we have a strong squad who are full off confidence and I expect it to be a really good game.”

“They have recently signed Scott Phillips from Hall Road who will be a handful, but we’ve got some real quality in our squad and I expect it to be a close game.”

“I know a lot of City fans plan to boycott their game at the KC , if they do I would  urge them to come down to the Norwood Recreation Ground and watch us.”

“Grass roots football is really populate and there is nothing like watching your local team.”

Chalk Lane’s arrival at Norwood will see the return of Gary Collins  while there will be no reunion with Andrew Stott who is currently enjoying a loan spell with West Ella & Willerbey.

Lane come into the game ahead of town by six points in the table, however while ahead both Town and Chalk Lane have each lost six of their games this season.

When the sides met in October at Hull University it was Chalk Lane who pinched the points with a slender 2-1 victory.

Kick off at the Norwood Recreation Ground is 2PM – there is free parking and the bar will be serving drinks and refreshments.
