Essential repairs and drainage works will be carried out on a busy stretch of road in Beverley later this month.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council will undertake the work on Queensgate over two days on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 February, close to the double mini-roundabouts at the junction with Admiral Walker Road, Keldgate and Cartwright Lane.
Because of the location temporary four-way traffic lights will be in operation between 9am and 3.30pm on both days. The road will remain open but drivers are being warned of delays.
Parking bays outside some houses on Queensgate will also be temporarily suspended from 9am to 3.30pm each day to allow work to continue.
Mike Featherby, head of streetscene services at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:
“We apologise to motorists and residents for any delays these works will cause, but we have tried to limit disruption by carrying out the work over two days, in off-peak hours, during the school half term holidays.
“We would like to thank everyone for their patience while this work is completed.”
