Meditation Group Explores Methods To Achieve Peace And Relaxation

Have you ever thought that something needs to change in your life? Where is that peace and happiness that we all long for? Why does stress and anxiety seem to be on the up?

Beverley hosts a vibrant and friendly meditation group that explores and puts into practice time-honoured methods for achieving peace and relaxation that demonstrate reduction in stress and anxiety.

Each session includes two meditations and a short talk on how to examine where our problems are coming from and how to deal with them in a different way. There is the opportunity to ask questions and light refreshments.

Meditation can benefit everyone, no matter what age. These meditation practices are based on Buddha’s ancient wisdom teachings and are led by Western Buddhist Nun Kelsang Lekmo who has been a practising Buddhist for over 20 years and who brings a very practical and down to earth slant to subjects that are completely relevant to our modern day life. We sit on chairs and no special clothing is needed.

The classes are suitable for complete beginners and more advanced meditators and are drop-in so no need to book, just turn up.

Buddha said ‘Don’t believe a word I say, try it and see!’. That is the invitation to you.
