Beverley Town Football Club will be looking to reach the semi final of the Whiteheads Fish and Chips Cup this Saturday.
All that stands between Town and a semi final place is Crown FC, the side who are currently second in the Humber Premier League.
Confidence in the Town camp is high following their result last weekend that saw them defeat East Yorkshire Carnegie 2-0 at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Speaking ahead of the game, Town boss Rich Jagger said;
“We go into the match with no major changes to the squad apart from Stu Oliver who is returning.”
“The squad is full of confidence after last weeks result against East Yorkshire Carnegie, but it will be a tough game again of the strongest sides in the league. However we are more than capable of coming away with a result.”
“The lads are keen to progress in this competition, we worked hard on a couple of things in training on Thursday , and hope to take these into Saturdays game.”
Jagger hopes fans will travel to South Holderness Tech College and get behind the team, he said;
“It was great to see such a good crowd down at Norwood and we hope our supporters will make the trip to cheer the lads on.”
Crown FC have already beaten Town this season when they met back in September registering a narrow 1-0 win at Norwood.
With eighteen points separating the sides this really will be a test for Town though if they put in a good performance it is possible they could cause an upset.
Town go into the match boasting a better defence than their opponents though Crown FC have a better scoring record and have proved difficult to beat this season.
