Beverley Town Football Club will be aiming to make it consecutive league wins as they travel to the Victoria Pleasure Ground to take on Goole United.
Rich Jagger will be a looking for a response from his players after they were dumped out of the Fish and Chips Cup last weekend going down 4-1 to Crown FC.
Commenting on his sides performance in the Cup Jagger said;
“We were one down at half time did well to get back into the game. Crown however kicked on their fitness and their quality showed in the end. I think 4-1 was a bit harsh but we had to push forward and look for the equaliser and left ourselves exposed.”
“Danny McHale and Max Thomas again played well and it was pleasing to see Craig Muirhead make it four in four with a goal.”
Beverley go into the match with Goole without Nathan Mist, but Ryan Saltmer, who Jagger says has been missing longer than Lord Lucan and Jordon Organ are both back in contention.
Commenting on selection Jagger said;
“Thomas who is a local lad has come into the side and done a great and done a great job and I am really pleased to have Jordan Organ back. Organ has missed four weeks but for me has been one of our most consistent players.”
“I will be a looking a for a reaction from the players and want to see them bounce back after last weeks disappointing result. If we win, it will put a bit of day light between us and Goole in the table.”
“Goole United are quite a physical side, our focus will be to handle their physicality and if we can get ahead, play some football then I see no reason why should come out on top.”
“We are going there looking for a win and all three points. We want to try and climb the league table, there are seven games left and we have our sights set on over taking Reckitts.”
Goole United who have a game in hand on Town are just one place behind Beverley in the Humber Premier League with just four points separating the sides.
When the sides went head to head earlier in the season at the Norwood Recreation Ground it was Town who came out on top winning the match 3-1 in a game that included a rare goal for their skipper Nathan White.
With players returning and improved performances on the pitch the run in for Town could see them make a late charge up the league table.
