A local family run business are reaching out to the residents of Beverley following the closure the towns last electrical store Briggs & Powell.
TVC Electrical who are based in Malton say that they are able to for fill the requirements for people who wish to continue to support local independent businesses when purchasing electrical goods.
As a business, their company values and ethics mean they avoid creating competition in other areas where similar independent businesses operate.
Speaking to HU17.net Samantha Read said;
“We are a small family run business that has been trading for 22 years and while we have a number of customers from Beverley we never felt it was right to target customers who were well served by another family run independent business, it’s hard enough in this game competing against the internet and the big sheds, without treading on our fellow independents.”
“Since learning that Briggs & Powell has closed we want to let people know about us and assure them there is still a choice and that they can get the same type of service from another local family business.”
“My husband, Gavin, would also like to extend his condolences to the Cattle family, it can’t have been easy closing the doors on 121 years and wish them every success in their future.”
“Gavin was deeply saddened that another independent had fallen foul of internet pricing, adding to the recent loss of several other independents in the close locality, Rutherford’s in Stamford Bridge and Eric Lee’s in Pocklington.”
TVC Electrical have over 30 years experience in the industry and have built their reputation by providing outstanding service, expert workmanship and a fair price.
“From our store we sell a range of electrical items from TVs through to white goods and we also offer a repair based services on electrical appliances. On top of this we also carry out aerial and custom CCTV installations.”
Samantha added;
“We would like to let the residents in Beverley know that there are still choices out there when comes to buying electrical goods without feeling they have to use large multinational companies.”
