The blue and golds will take on East Hull on Saturday, making the short trip to Rosmead Street for a 2.30pm start.
Beverley ARLC are keen to get off to a good start on this the opening day of the Yorkshire Men’s League.
During the week they learned the disappointing news that their postponed 40/20 cup tie with Heworth will not be played and will be awarded as a 24-0 to Beverley.
Beverley needed to play the game and beat the York outfit by at least 44 points to qualify for the semi-final. The club will take the decision by the YML management on the chin and move on to concentrate on the league.
Work commitments will rob them of the services of Charles Bardle, Lewis Straw and Jake Hart-Fisher.
On the plus side, Steve Connolly will return from suspension. Bobby Howdle will return from military service and new signings Luke Inglis and Lewis Colrien will be added to the squad.
Head coach Scott Taylor will be unavailable due to Hull FC also playing this Saturday but Director of Rugby Pat Howdle is confident that the squad is well prepared and competition for places in a growing squad is keeping everyone on their toes.
