Beverley Town Football Club will Wolfreton School this weekend when they take on Hessle Rangers in the Humber Premier League.

With just two games remaining this season, gaffer Rich Jagger says no one is taking their foot off the gas as the club look to end the season by winning their last two fixtures.

Speaking ahead of the game Jagger said;

“We go into the penultimate game of the season looking for a maximum 6 points from the last two matches.”

“If we can achieve this, and other games go our way we could finish sixth in the league.”

With just a few selection issues Jagger has almost a full complement of players to chose from hinting there may be a starting place for one of the clubs younger players, he said;

“We have Shaun Day missing from last week but welcome back Ryan Saltmer. Will Harrison comes in to the squad and has a great chance of starting.”

“Nathan Mist is getting back to full fitness after injury, and Joe Norton has been excellent in recent weeks.”

Jagger feels that surface will play into the hands of his side who prefer to keep the ball on the deck and create chances, he said;

“After last weeks win we will be full of confidence. It’s a nice new 4G pitch, which suits our passing style, and I expect the lads to get it down, play with a smile on their faces and enjoy it.”

“No one is taking their foot off the gas, we want to finish as high as possible, we have already surpassed last season’s points total from four less games and have our eye focused on sixth place.”
