East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reminding residents and visitors looking for somewhere to go on Easter Sunday 16 April can visit a top exhibition.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition will be open on that day in the Treasure House in Beverley – its final Sunday opening. The exhibition closes for good on Saturday 22 April.
Although the exhibition will be closed on the two Bank Holidays (Good Friday and Easter Monday), a special opening of the exhibition – though not the library and the archives – has been arranged for Easter Sunday from 10am to 4pm, following the huge popularity of earlier Sunday openings. The cafe will not be open on Easter Sunday.
Councillor Richard Burton, portfolio holder for civic wellbeing and culture, said:
“Easter Sunday will be the final chance to visit this stunning exhibition on a Sunday, and I am sure will prove to be as popular as all our other recent Sunday openings.
“It is particularly pleasing that Wildlife Photographer of the year has attracted so many visitors to the Treasure House and the Art Gallery for the first time – it’s a great example of exactly what Hull 2017 is all about.”
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is a Principal Partner in Hull UK City of Culture 2017, and the exhibition is part of a year-long programme of events all across the East Riding.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday : 9.30am to 5pm
Tuesday and Thursday : 9.30am to 8pm
Saturday: 9am to 4pm
Sundays: 10am to 4pm (The library and archives will not be open on Sundays).
