Overnight Road Improvements At Willerby Square Roundabout

Overnight Road Improvements At Willerby Square RoundaboutEast Riding of Yorkshire Council is to improve the high friction surfacing and road markings at Willerby Square roundabout, and also on all the approach roads.

The works are programmed to start on Monday, 24 April, 2017 and will take four nights to complete. The working hours will be 19:00 – 05:00.

On the first night, Kingston Road will be closed in both directions, with a diversion route along Beverley Road and Gorton Road. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles from the Gorton Road Roundabout end.

On the three subsequent nights, Carr Lane will be closed, with a diversion along Kingston Road and The Parkway. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles from the Carr Lane Roundabout end.

The works will be carried out on behalf of the council by SAS Lining, and Galliford Try will be operating the traffic management. There will be multi-directional traffic signals, and therefore, delays are expected.

An East Riding of Yorkshire Council spokesperson said:

“There will be some noise associated with these works, and we apologise to local residents for any disruption that is caused. We will be writing to local residents before the works start.

“Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible for the duration of the works, and to find alternative routes.”
