When disaster strikes a business’s reputation can be on the line. Public relations agency, Divine Clark PR and specialist media trainers at Positive Impact, will host a free workshop to inform local businesses how to effectively deal with PR during a crisis.

The event will take place on Wednesday 21 June, 6-8pm, at Airco’s Business Lounge in Hull.

A crisis can strike an organisation at any time, so it is essential that business owners have a plan in place and know how to respond to difficult situations in a way that doesn’t damage their reputation.

With both the media and stakeholders demanding information in times of crisis, the prospect of confronting the issue can be extremely daunting. This seminar will offer valuable tips and resources to understand more about dealing with a disaster.

Guided by experts, the workshop will blend theory and practice, presenting a selection of realistic crisis scenarios, strategies and solutions.

One of the organisers of this event, Jess Clark from Divine Clark PR says:

“We are inviting local business owners, managing directors and in-house marketing managers to equip themselves with the tools needed in a crisis. When it comes to PR, the best defence is a good offence but sometimes disasters cannot be avoided.”

“In this instance it is essential that businesses know how to minimise damage to their public image, and this free seminar will give an idea of what this entails.”

Jonathan Boddy from Positive Impact says: “Building a good reputation can take years but it can be ruined in the blink of an eye. A crisis can have a devastating and lasting affect on an organisation if it’s not managed properly.”

“Whilst this is a very serious subject, we promise to make the event fun and informative. Delegates will understand the importance of a plan of action and know who to call in the case of a crisis.”
