India Alton says that following an incredible year teaching, opening her own studio was the next logical step as she looks to open up the sport to more people.
Speaking to HU17.net India explained how she has taken on two units on Riverview Road where she will be able to teach one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.
Explaining more about her plans she said;
“I’ve had an incredible year teaching pole dancing at Base Fitness.
“It has been so rewarding seeing my students form new friendships, gain confidence in themselves and perfect the moves they never thought they could achieve in the beginning.”
“Being so committed to pole dancing and fitness, I want to take it to the next level. I want to offer the perfect environment for all pole lovers to gather and practice their skills.”
In June last year, India stunned herself when she won the Yorkshire Pole Dancing Title at a big event held in Hull.
At the time, she said it was a complete surprise to win such an award given the level of competition at the event.
Now just 11 months on she is ready to take the next step, she said;
“This is such an exciting for me to be opening Indigo Studios. What was once an empty, shabby warehouse is soon to be the ultimate pole and fitness studio.”
“While I never planned to take on such a big project, once I started my search, I soon decided that I wanted to go for it and do it properly.”
“Everyone is welcome to pop in and take a look around the studios during my open day in June.”
“My current students will be there to show off their latest skills, and I will teach any willing participants a spin or two.”
Taking place on 17 June from 12 until 4PM, Indigo Studios, which is located at Units 8 and 9 Acorn Industrial Estate, HU17 0LD will also be hosting a BBQ.
