The Potting Shed in Beverley has a smashing offer which means you won’t miss a shot – and you can enjoy pitchers of Pimms while you cheer on your favourite player, whether it’s reigning champion Andy Murray or comeback legends Federer and Nadal.
The bar on Flemingate had a huge 3.5m x 1.5mscreen installed in its gardens in May so now customers can make the most of the summer weather and see every serve and volley from SW19.
All the live action will be shown over Wimbledon fortnight, starting with the first round matches on Monday July 3 right through to the women’s and men’s finals on the weekend of July 15 & 16.
And to celebrate one of the highlights of the British summer sporting calendar, the Potting Shed has the traditional Wimbledon drink – Pimms – available at a special price of £10 per pitcher serving four during the tournament.
Assistant manager Darren Bayley says they’re looking forward to welcoming fans for two weeks of world class tennis.
“Wimbledon is one of the biggest sporting events of the year and, as we opened last August, this will be our first,” he added. “There’s no better way to watch games than with a Pimms – and hopefully plenty of sunshine, although our screen is an all-weather stadium-style one so it will be fine even if we get the odd shower.
“We can’t quite manage our own Murray Mound but with the huge screen we’re sure there’ll be no shortage of big match atmosphere – and fans get to enjoy those gorgeous views of the Minster from our gardens in between points.”
