With a distinctive Americana theme and menu, using an in-house smoker and wood-burning grill, the FirePit is a unique experience with a Deep South flavour.
Transforming a ground floor site in the Flemingate Centre, the company behind the town’s popular Potting Shed Bar and Gardens has created a new venue with a very different look and feel.
The design is strongly US-influenced, featuring vivid neon signage, old American classic car parts and a show-stopping custom-built Airstream-style aluminium caravan, made in Beverley and specially designed to offer customers a cool private dining booth.
Diners can choose from a selection of authentic dishes, including four-hour smoked ribs and two-hour smoked chicken, finished over charcoal and topped with the FIREPIT’s signature sauces and mayos. There are also dogs, flame or charcoal grilled steaks, sandwiches and speciality burgers such as beef brisket, smoked pulled pork plus much more.
The FIREPIT, which opens to the public on July 21, will also serve a range of house cocktails, beers and spirits in the restaurant and Sports Bar, which promises to be a sports lover’s dream.
Fans need never miss a minute of the big match action thanks to the bar’s HD TVs and a giant 4m x 2m LED screen and, alongside the live sport being shown, they can play shuffleboard, darts and pool and join in regular themed nights.
The Beverley FIREPIT will be the second in a new concept launched by Ormsborough Limited, the parent company of Potting Shed Trading. The company was founded by the BurningNight management team and is funded by funds managed by Downing LLP.
Allan Harper, CEO of Potting Shed Trading Ltd, said the company was looking forward to bringing something totally original to Beverley.
“Since we launched the Potting Shed in Beverley in August last year, we’ve become familiar with our customers here and we’ve got an understanding of what they like.
“We opened our first FIREPIT in Bingley, alongside a Potting Shed, and the two have complemented each other so well, we were confident it was the right decision for Beverley too,” he said.
“We put a lot of time, effort and thought into creating our concept bars and restaurants and we’re sure customers coming into the FIREPIT will be impressed with what they find. There are lots of little American hidden gems added by our design team which they can discover and we’ve created a smokehouse menu which we hope they’ll enjoy trying out.”
