Residents in Woodmansey are set to benefit after developer, Barratt Homes confirmed they will be investing over £120,000 into projects in the area.

Money from the developer will use the cash to pay for outdoor sports facilities and play spaces close to their Cherry Tree Court Site.

Commenting on the news, Peter Morris, Development Director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said;

“As well as building new homes, it’s our aim to also support and enhance local communities, so we hope these contributions will go a long way towards improving the lives of people who live in Woodmansey and the surrounding area, along with those who become residents at the development.”

“We are committed to investing in the areas in which we build and these contributions emphasise this.”
“We are excited to see the new development taking shape over the coming months and to deliver further much needed, quality housing in the area.”

Cherry Tree Court is offering a range of two, three and four bedroom homes situated in a semi-rural setting and within close proximity to local amenities.

Latest figures show that house building in the UK is at its highest levels in ten years though the 147,000 new homes built is still way below the 250,000 needed to meet the demand for homes.

Of the homes being built 137,000 of them were built by the private sector while housing associations and local authorities managed just of 24,000 between them.

You have to go back to the 1970s for the last true housing boom in the UK which saw the country deliver over 300,000 in a 21 month period.

Barratt say that this investment in the community shows their commitment to the area as they look to develop new homes to meet the demand there is for good quality homes in Beverley, Woodmansey and local area.
