One of the other notable race days on the Beverley fixture list is the Hilary Needley Trophy Day which is scheduled for June 9 in 2018. The 5f sprint is only open to two-year-old-fillies therefore some of the stars of the future line up in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Last season Chica La Habana won convincingly under the hands of Adam Beschizza on her debut. The filly is entered in a Group One sprint later this year and is expected to have a big three-year-old-campaign next season for her connections.

Flemingate Ladies’ Day is one most popular racedays at Beverley Racecourse. This is considered as one of the social events of the year in Yorkshire. It attracts over 11,000 to be the track for an afternoon of racing. During the day there are various events and entertainment for racegoers to take part in, including the best turned out award. This prize is awarded to best-dressed lady who enters the competition. In 2017 the racecourse introduced a catwalk for participants to enter and it proved very popular.

Beverley has three evening meetings on its 2018 schedule. The first of which takes place on June 19. There will be action into the late hours on Friday, July 6, while you also have the opportunity to see late-night racing on July 23.

During the off-season Beverley racecourse puts on a number of events that are not related to horse racing. The CHCP Job Fare takes place in later September where you are able to chat to experts who can help you get into employment. On November 10 there is also the Beverley Mistletoe Fair.

The event debuted in 2017 and was extremely popular. Craft makers set up their stalls at the course where you can find everything from decorations to handmade clothes which could work as the perfect gift for someone at Christmas.

Tickets are already available for racing in 2018 so you can book nice and early to secure a spot in the best grandstands for one of the meetings next year.
