A late Jake Cattermole goal gave Beverley Town Football Club their second consecutive win after they claimed all three points with 1-0 win against North Ferriby Athletic.
Rich Jagger says he was happy with the result as Town worked hard to secure their first win the in Humber Premier League since mid September.
Commenting on the game Jagger said;
“It was a really tough game today, the conditions were really poor, and both teams struggled. If anything I thought Ferriby had the better of the game in the second half.”
“However our lads never gave up. They gave their all for 90 minutes and got there just rewards at the end.”
With just three points between the clubs this game was a must win for Town who have struggled of late to keep clean sheets and take their chances.
This game look odds on to finish goalless and both sides failed to create and real chances though the introduction of Aldo Hysenaj for Town proved to be the turning point in the game.
Hysenaj had only been on the pitch 8 minutes when he made a darting run cutting the ball back for Alex Stark. The strikers effort was saved by the Ferriby keeper but Cattermole was there to head home.
Jagger said;
“I thought Cattermole had a fine debut in the middle of the park and have got to mention super sub Hysenaj.”
“For two weeks running now he has come on and changed the game. His attitude has been superb and he great around the squad.”
“We’ve got some good fixtures coming up and hope to put a bit of a run together.”
Beverley Town travel to Hull University next Saturday when they take on the current Humber Premier League Leaders, Reckitts AFC.
Reckitts took over at the summit of the table this weekend after Chalk Lane were held at home by bottom club South Cave United.
