BBC news presenter Peter Levy and weather girl Abbie Dewhurst were greeted in Beverley a by a large crowd after the pair completed a bike ride in aid of Children in Need.
Cllr Ann Willis, the Mayor of Beverley was there with the crowds who braved the freezing cold weather to see the pair arrive in Beverly at the Market Cross.
The ride which lasted two days saw the pair use a tandem to cycle from Hedon to Bridlington and Bridlington to Beverley.
Collecting donations on the way they managed to raise around £3,000 for the charity that aims to change lives of young people across the UK.
Beverley Town Council said;
“We were delighted to welcome Peter and Abbie following their Children in Need Tandem ride to the town.”
“We would like to congratulate them for raising so much money for a very worthwhile cause that helps disadvantaged children throughout the country.”
Local delicatessen Vanessa’s greeted the pair also providing them with a much needed cuppa and slice of cake.
Charlotte Gauld, Assistant manager at Vaennsa’s Deli said;
“We did in support on Peter and Abbie in aid of children in need to say well done after their weekend of bike riding. It was big thank you to them and a massive well done in acknowledgement for what they have done.”
Abbie Tweeted she was amazed they had done it praising Peter for his efforts, thanking those who had braved the weather to greet them and those who donated.

Children in Need will take place this Friday 17 November with organisers of the event hoping to beat the £60m they raised last year.
