Beverley RUFC U16s beat local rivals Driffield RUFC 41-0 despite having re shuffle their side due to a number of players missing through injury.

This was a match Beverley were always in control of. While Driffield were really very close in ability and size, the clear difference between the teams being unity shone by the Beavers.

Beverley’s man of the match went to the captain George BT who scored 20 of Beverley’s 41 points.

U16s Head Coach, Mike Baker said;

“This was a complete team performance in which every player excelled. A special mention must go to Adam Oakes who is growing with every game, and Lewis Egan who held the mid field together admirably.”

“Our quiet heroes in the front row of Tom Megson, Ben Found and Tom Baker made cheery work of the tough stuff, and backs Harry Trulson and Thomas Meldon were solid in all areas.”

The battle weary team have a much needed training weekend next week as they look to recover before travelling to Ripon on 10 December for their Yorkshire Plate semi final.

Final Score: Beverley RUFC 41 Driffield RUFC 0
